The founder, Karl Klein, established his factory in Aichwald, Germany in 1950 and the fan he developed was presented to the market in 1963. In 2010 we were honoured to be invited to the factory to help celebrate 60 years of success with Mr Klein himself. It was a very happy and enjoyable occasion, with employees past and present and valued suppliers and customers being involved in the celebrations.

Today, Karl Klein GmbH is widely recognised as a specialist in the field of radial fans; especially for awkward applications.
The many areas of application include construction machinery, control cabinets, drying plants, filtration plants, roasting ovens, bakery equipment, laboratory equipment, shipbuilding, exhaust systems, forge technology, and many more…
Thanks to first-class production processes and optimised designs, the company excels in areas other than mass production. In fact, Karl Klein has become a global point-of-contact for the development of special solutions, having the know-how to be able to tackle unusual requirements using innovative technology and by applying decades of experience.
Karl Klein manufactures quiet low, medium, and high-pressure fans with drive ratings of up to 15 kW and flow rates of up to 18,000 m³/h.
The product range also includes hybrid, explosion-proof, and portable fans.
The wide range of manufacture with variable power spectrums, housings made from different materials, and an impressive selection of accessories enables the individual requirements of each customer to be met.

Progress is taken seriously at Karl Klein – both in theory and in practice. The innovation-fuelled atmosphere is particularly noticeable in the development department – the very heart of the company. Karl Klein use their own test chambers to determine characteristics and noise levels. This enables the consistent fulfilment of customer requirements and means that new, optimised products can be developed on a continuous basis.
As an example, frequency converter technology is one of Karl Klein’s technical specialisms. It allows specific operating points to be controlled and the rotational speed to be adjusted above or below the nominal speed as required.
